We recently contracted Mathews + Vasek to build our 4,000+ ft2 custom home in rural Mcleod County. We are very happy with our choice. They came recommended by our architect (along with a few others). The overall quality of their work together with the experience they bring sets them apart. We had not built a house before hence their knowledge in sending us to quality vendors for lighting and plumbing fixtures, flooring, cabinets, and painting proved invaluable. In addition to their quality work, they were very timely, and responsive to several needed changes. Their choice of subcontractors also demonstrated their experience in new home building. Lastly, they kept to agreed-on budgets and always cleaned up. We would highly recommend them for your home construction needs.

I’m not one to write reviews, negative or positive. However, our experience with Mathews + Vasek Construction, who remodeled the better part of our main level, which included our kitchen,was so exceptional that I felt utterly compelled to offer a review.

On budget, on time, respectful, responsive and resourceful are a few key words that describe our experience. Our space was respected, our privacy honored. There were gracious smiles that greeted us daily from workers who can only be described as craftsmen. Work ethic and quality were extraordinary. There was no smoking, no cursing, no coarse speech of any kind. If we were chatty, our subs were chatty. If we were quiet, our subs were quiet. If we had questions, they were answered.

The success and professionalism of our project can not be overstated. Though we trusted Andy right from the start, we were uneasy about what the process would bring, with a multitude of workers coming in and out of our home over the course of the next few months. That uneasiness faded immediately.

We’ve all heard horror stories of remodel/construction projects gone awry, enough to give pause as to whether or not it would be worth it. With Mathews Vasek Construction, it’s worth it. There is nothing about our project or the experience of the remodel that we would do differently. We are even toying around with the initial conversation...should we remodel the master Bathroom?
